Nancy has a varied and extensive background in the horse world. She did fox hunting and steeple chase when growing up in Georgia. Nancy obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with a specialty in Equine Sciences from Louisiana Tech (LT).  Nancy has been a jockey in the racing industry, as well.

During the last 15 years, Nancy has trained thoroughbreds at race tracks around the US. Her practice combines her training work and in-depth knowledge of horses with her Certification in Equine Acupressure through Tallgrass and her equine massage therapy background.

Barb Scalise, CPDT, has been working with dogs full time since 1995 when she opened a local pet-sitting service. Over the last ten years, she has completed certifications in pet dog training, canine massage and small animal acupressure. According to Barb, fitness is an important component of dog training and guardianship. She's a big believer in the saying "If your dog is overweight, you're not getting enough exercise!" 

Barb's current pack consists of two chocolate labs, an English pointer and a vizsla, who hold titles in agility, obedience, rally-o, tacking and field events.

Equine Acupressure Practitioner

Kara Rojek is a certified Small Animal Acupressure Practitioner  from Tallgrass Animal Acupressure Institute. Her practice also includes Animal Reiki. She became interested in how Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in cooperation with Western Medicine can help animals achieve better health and well being.
Kara lives on the northwest side of Chicago with her two rescue dogs, Capone – a boxer mix and Bella. She is working in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, sessions can be held in your own home or wherever the animal feels comfortable.

As a Tallgrass Equine Acupressure Practitioner, I am able to offer a well-rounded therapy session since I have training and experience in other healing modalities as well. I am an Equine Massage therapist and successfully completed the courses through Anam Cara School of Equine Massage. I am a Reiki Master and Joint Yoga Practitioner. 
Additionally, I have a background in competing at Quarter Horse Shows with halter horses and pleasure horses. I live in Deer Park, Illinois and practice in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.
